Jamie Fenton is an academic who studies and teaches American Literature. He is a nineteenth century-ist by trade, with particular interests in poetics, sound, health and the Civil War. His first book, The Sound of Poetry in the American Civil War, is forthcoming with Edinburgh University Press. Faculty bios are ephemeral, and some details are therefore gathered in the pages above.
